Queen's Head Lane is one of the tiniest streets in Woodbridge tucked away between Burkitt Road and Seckford Street, a few hundred yards from the Market Hill, and is within easy walking distance to the shops, pubs and all facilities offered by the town. A pleasant walk to the river begins in Fen Meadow which is about 15 yards from the cottage across Seckford Street. The cottage is a few minutes' walk from the Seckford Theatre, in the grounds of Woodbridge School. 2 Fairfield Cottages is a little semi-detached cottage which has been completely renovated and refurbished to a high standard by the owners to provide very well presented and cosy accommodation for not more than two persons. Access is generally via the back door into a compact fitted kitchen with dining area which leads into the living room with a gas fired stove, comfortable soft seating, hand made antique pine furniture (which features throughout the cottage) and the front door which opens onto a tiny, sunny York stone patio overlooking a little, downward sloping, terraced flowerbed. There are some folding director's chairs inside which visitors are welcome to take onto the patio as long as they are not left outside! Very steep, curved 'cottagey' stairs from the living room go up into the bedroom where there is a king sized, hand made antique pine bed and coordinating furniture which leads, via a little 'lobby' area, into the bathroom with washbasin, electric shower over the bath, w.c. and shaver socket. Household facilities include gas hobs and electric oven, washer/dryer, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, cafetiere, colour TV, DVD, hairdryer, a telephone for incoming calls only and, as well as the gas fired stove in the living room, full gas central heating throughout. Wireless broadband internet access. The owners provide all bedding, bedlinen, towels and tea towels. Although Queen's Head Lane is narrow, it is possible to park a car on the road outside the cottage (access is via Burkitt Road only) or, alternatively, vehicles can be left in Seckford Street at the bottom of the hill or Burkitt Road at the top. It is regretted that children and pets are not allowed and smoking is not permitted on the premises.
