The parish of Snape is famous for its Maltings and Concert Hall and, together with several pubs, a good village shop, a post office and a fine church, offers an ideal base for holiday makers. The towns of Woodbridge and Aldeburgh are within ten miles and the forests, marshes and beaches in the area offer plenty of opportunities for walking, bird watching, cycling and enjoying the Suffolk air.

8 Blyth Cottages is a very spacious semi-detached property situated on the edge of the village centre adjacent to fields and offers thoughtfully prepared and well presented accommodation for not more than 5/6 people in four bedrooms. The village shop and post office are opposite, and the pubs are within walking distance (down hill to them!) so one is not reliant on a car despite having the rural outlook from the back and to the side of the house.

The house is set back from Church Road with ample off road parking on the brick paved driveway. The front door opens into a entrance hall off which is the dining room to the left and, to the right, a vestibule for coats, outdoor shoes etc and a study with a mini hi-fi system, Sky Wi-Fi broadband router, Epson printer and phone.

The dining room leads through to a modern, well fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and stools, microwave, fridge, freezer, (there is an additional upright fridge/freezer in the pantry), built in electric oven and hobs, dishwasher, radio/cassette player and ample dining and cooking equipment. Off the back hallway is a light and airy bathroom with a shower over the bath, wash basin and w.c., the boiler room cum airing cupboard and a good sized lobby with a washing machine and tumble dryer. From the lobby, the back door leads out to the garden where there is a huge patio, with outside furniture for lazy alfresco meals, and a step down onto the lawn.

Adjacent to the kitchen, the living room has comfortable soft seating, sliding garden doors onto a large patio (a BBQ is stored in the shed), a wide screen television with video and DVD players and Sky service (no films or sport channels), a games console and a wood burning stove for cosy evenings - logs can be purchased locally. The owners provide a selection of videos, DVDs and books for their guests to use.

From the entrance hall, straight stairs, with good handrails on both sides, go up to a little landing with further stairs off to the right and left. To the right, is the master bedroom with a double bed, good clothes storage facilities and, at the window overlooking to garden and fields, a seating area for reading. Beside the master bedroom is a bathroom with a shower, basin and w.c. The stairs off to the left go to three further bedrooms - two single rooms to the rear of the house and a spacious single to the front which has a space saver bed underneath for the sixth visitor.  Duvets and pillows, together will all bed linen and towels are provided.

In addition to the wood-burner, an oil fired boiler provides hot water and central heating to radiators throughout the house.

One, small, well behaved pet is allowed but please ensure that all traces of hair and fluff are removed, and that the garden is left clean, at the end of your stay.  Smoking is not permitted inside the house.
