Waldringfield is a small and popular village located on the banks of the river Deben, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, about 5 miles south of the riverside market town of Woodbridge. It has a busy pub, a sub post office open on a part time basis and a church and, as it is only about 2 miles from the main A12, offers the visitor a rural location, yet is within easy access of the main roads leading throughout Suffolk for great days out exploring. There is a good golf course on the outskirts of the village which is open to non-members on a pay and play basis.

Situated on the edge of the village, Thatched Farm (no longer a working farm) has been transformed into a beautiful home with a sprawling garden, adjacent to an ancient woodland and with fields all around.  Bluebell and Daffodil have been thoughtfully converted from semi-detached agricultural buildings to form small and extremely well presented self contained properties. Bluebell is a single storey studio offering compact, well designed accommodation for not more than two people and, Daffodil, sleeping two/three people, is a two storey, cosy cottage with many of its original exposed beams incorporated into the renovation. Bluebell and Daffodil offer the ideal solution for friends who wish to holiday together but have their own separate accommodation.

Nearest to the owners' pretty, thatched cottage is BLUEBELL, a compact single storey studio. Apart from the two steps up to the front door and one step separating the kitchen area and the living/bedroom area, Bluebell would be suitable for the slightly immobile.

Off the entrance lobby, the shower room has a shower cubicle, wash basin, shaver socket and w.c. The kitchen area is well fitted and has an electric cooker, fridge with ice making compartment, microwave, ample cooking and dining equipment and a breakfast bar. A step down from the kitchen goes into the living area which has a double bed, two easy chairs, a TV and video, radio and French windows which open to the garden. The view from the double bed of the lawn, weeping willows and the wood must be one of the most tranquil we have on our books!

Between Bluebell and the owners' home is a little, detached building which houses a washing machine, tumble dryer, a fridge should you need more space and an iron and ironing board. Unofficial free wireless internet access is usually available through the owners' router.  The owners provide duvets and pillows, together with bedlinen, towels and teacloths.  Electric radiators provide heating in both properties.

There are tables and chairs immediately outside Bluebell and Daffodil but visitors are welcome to use any part of the garden. Garden loungers are available for lazy days 'at home' with a book and a drink under one of the willow trees. There is ample private parking on the gravel driveway as well as in a cart lodge and a shed for secure bike storage.

Smoking is permitted outside only and please remember to extinguish everything carefully and tidily. Although pets are not allowed inside Bluebell and Daffodil at any time, outside dogs are welcome as long as they sleep in the car or in cages in the cart lodge, do not cause any disturbance and are kept on a lead at all times whilst at Thatched Farm.

Holidays run from Friday to Friday in Bluebell and Daffodil and visitors are politely requested not to arrive before 3pm.

The owners have two Bed and Breakfast rooms in the main house.
